Hemp fiber has been used in construction for a long time, dating back to Roman times, but recently the applications of Hempcrete are being explored on an industrial level in the US. The picture on the left comes from an article titled “Hempcrete Passes 1-Hour ASTM Fire Test” by Hemp Build magazine, one of many publications trying to grow the Hemp construction industry in the US.
